Why would I choose You & Life coaching over seeing a psychologist?
Clients appreciate they do not need a Mental Health Plan from their GP and still are able to address their stress or anxiety. Some You & Life clients who have seen psychologists in the past are amazed by how much understanding the coaching gives them about themselves in such a short period of time and say the coaching finally helped them really reduce their stress.

You & Life coaching also suits clients who prefer to address their health in a natural way. It teaches you a way to address your stress, anxiety or depression without the help of any medication.

Note: If you are currently taking medication for stress related symptoms, always consult your healthcare practitioner about reducing or discontinuing your medication.

How many Coaching Sessions will I need?
This depends on your personal situation, but clients usually require 8-10 sessions in total. Clients are most welcome to come back for further sessions, however the provided reading material and notes in their notebook are a great reminder and very helpful in case they need it.

Do I pay per session or per hour?
You pay per session, if a session takes a bit longer you don’t pay more.

How frequent will I have coaching sessions?
Ideally, the first four sessions once a week, after that once a week or once a fortnight.

What times are available for coaching sessions?
Monday to Friday between 9.30am – 2.00pm and 7.30pm – 9.00pm.

I am seeing a psychologist / psychiatrist as well, is that a problem?
Not a problem at all. What you learn from the coaching sessions should not be in conflict with what you’re discussing with your psychologist/psychiatrist. The coaching will probably give you more insight and help progress the issues you are working on.

Will I get a lot of homework?
Not necessarily. You will get some homework, but this will be applying the learned insights to one or two daily life situations that week. You will need some time to write things down, however this can usually be completed within half an hour.

Of course, the more you think about the learned insights and try to apply it to your daily life in between the sessions, the more you will learn from it!
